Casino Game Make the Top 23 Facebook Games List

Posted by Gambling News | Casino News,Gambling News | Monday 3 February 2014 7:19 am

It has only been a couple of years since casino type games went live on Facebook. At one stage this social networking site would not even allow casino game ads at their site. It appears that they have seen the error of their ways, and the effect of supply and demand now dictates what is popular or not.

In a recent list of the top twenty-three games played at this site, it seems that five of these are casino type games. Gaming in a social media type environment has grown in popularity, and grown exponentially for users at many of these sites. So, the 2013 top “Games of the Year” list was put together based on a selection of criteria. Facebook complied data from "user ratings, implementation, growth and overall quality."

The increase in mobile social media activity has also seen an increase in gaming, and gambling over this channel. This led to the fact that many in the top twenty-three can be enjoyed on both Internet and mobile platforms. Pundits are saying that approximately $12 million will be spent on mobile gambling this year (2014), so, the possibility exists that 2013 mobile growth may have contributed to the Facebook growth in gaming popularity. Hence the reason why five gambling games also made it into their favourites list.

Most online gambling operators are not surprised by the fact that despite the diversity of games available in this space – Hit it Rich Casino Slots, Double Down Casino, Slotmania, DoubleUCasino, and Heart of Vegas, made it to the top. Hit it Rich Casino was also dubbed the Best New Game of the Year. Consumer behaviour seems to be dictating that the Facebook space will soon be inundated with popular online gambling games.

We are not in the least bit surprised by this latest list. The online gambling industry has turned into a mainstream industry Globally, and looks set to grow even more with doors opening in the USA. There are still quite a few global market places that still remain untapped, and with the spread of high speed broadband into Southern American Countries, Africa and Asia, even more growth is bound to be the order of the day. Add to this the fact that mobile, and smartphone use is spreading across the world, and it appears as though the industry might be in for a nice growth surprise. In fact this growth has been speculated on, but could even turn out to be better than the industry is betting on.

Evolution Gaming is Among the First to Pass Live Dealer-specific Inspection

Posted by Gambling News | Gambling Industry News,Gambling News | Tuesday 13 April 2010 1:02 pm

Live dealer provider Evolution Gaming, which has offices in London, Malta and Stockholm and high tech Internet video-streaming studio facilities in Latvia, has become one of the first in its sector to achieve the high standards required for the eCOGRA Certified Live Dealer Seal.

The company is an acknowledged leader in its sector, and counts many major European Internet gambling operators among its clients, including 888, Bet-At-Home, Expekt, Gala Coral Group, Ladbrokes, PaddyPower, Party Gaming and Unibet.

Explaining the significance of the Certified Live Dealer Seal, eCOGRA CEO Andrew Beveridge said this week that the relevant eGAP or international best practice standards required had been specifically designed for the distinct nature of live dealer operations, in which live games are streamed over the Internet in real time from casino studio environments managed by pitbosses and staffed by croupiers.

"The genre differs from the more common and purely software-powered online casino concept in that it features live staff using real gambling devices and tables," said Beveridge. "This requires a very specific set of operating standards and requirements to ensure absolutely fair, safe and independent gaming in which both hardware and software systems are reviewed.

"Along with our usual tests for problem gambling and dispute facilities, we also look at anti-money laundering systems, staff training, operator probity, player information security, staff access to sensitive areas, the retention of video recordings of all sessions, collusion controls and overall game statistical performance on the roulette, baccarat and blackjack games offered."

Chartered Accountant Gareth Muirhead, who spent several days in Riga, Latvia conducting the review, said that his compliance plan had included the examination of both return-to-player and RNG elements, and ensuring that eCOGRA’s Total Gaming Transaction Review system was securely in place, continuously monitoring all gaming activity.

"Evolution Gaming operates a very tight ship, and the cooperation of chief operating officer Svante Liljevall and the technical and operational staff in Riga was outstanding," Muirhead wrote in his report to the Independent Directors controlling the issue of eCOGRA seals.

Congratulating the management and staff in Riga on achieving the eCOGRA accreditation, Evolution Gaming chief executive officer Jens von Bahr said: "As a company we have always tried to lead rather than follow, and I am delighted that you have been successful in satisfying a tough but very practical set of international best practice standards.

"This can only boost our confidence in the commercial arena, knowing we are among the first to successfully put our technology, systems and people to this type of rigorous test."

Craps Online Casino Member Wins 119,593 on 25c Line Bet

Posted by Gambling News | Casino News | Tuesday 24 February 2009 12:35 pm

One member at the Craps Online Casino placed a 25c bet and walked away with winnings totalling $119,593 from the popular Queen of Pyramids slot machine.

Just as the online casino is getting ready to honour its second birthday, another member at Craps Casino has a good reason to celebrate with the Casino at its party – she won astounding $119,593 on one spin of the reels. What makes this win even more unbelievable is that only 25c was the line bet placed on the winning reels.

Marie-Claire P. of Canada won the jackpot after just 20 minutes of playing online. The teacher, who currently resides in Quebec, only wagered the minimum line bet on the Queen of Pyramids progressive slot machine.

In a winning interview with Marie Claire, she stated that “I had a premonition a few days before telling me that I was going to win big and so I knew I had to play. When I saw my winnings I was in shock. I screamed, but I was very happy. I think I will spend my winnings on a holiday to Tahiti and maybe some home renovations”.

Marie Claire went on to say, “My favourite online casino is Craps Casino, the games have amazing graphics, the Support staff are excellent and the over all feel of the casino is a reliable one. I feel that this is one online casino you can definitely trust. My advice to other Craps Casino members would be to play according to what you can afford and play for the enjoyment of the games”.

In a twist of fate, only a few days prior to her big win, Marie-Claire forgot her casino client password and decided to immediately contact the 24/7 support team of Craps Casino to have it re-sent to her. “It was lucky that she contacted our team so quickly,” stated casino manager, Jean Russell, “If she had waited until a later date, the jackpot may not have been hers!”
