Luc Besson’s production company includes Titan Poker in its latest movie From Paris with Love.

From Paris with Love is an action packed film from director Pierre Morel (District 13 and Taken) starring John Travolta and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. The film was co-written and produced by the critically acclaimed French Director Luc Besson. It was Mr. Besson’s production company that chose to partner with Titan Poker and feature the online poker room in the film.

The film focuses on James Reece (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), a low-level CIA operative who dreams of becoming a bona fide agent and seeing some real action. His first senior-level assignment has him partnered with Charlie Wax (John Travolta) – a trigger-happy, wisecracking, loose cannon who’s been sent to Paris to stop a terrorist attack. Charlie drags James through the Parisian underworld on a shooting spree that has James wishing he could go back to his cushy desk job, until James discovers that he is a target of the same crime ring they are trying to bust and realizes there is no turning back…

Titan Poker gets its big screen exposure in a scene in which one of the film’s characters is playing online poker. From Paris with Love was released on February 5th in the US and will hit screens in France on February 17th.

This October new players, poker cash game enthusiasts, and online tournament regulars all have equal chances to win cash and ECPokertour Malta entries at Titan Poker.

Titan Poker, the most popular online poker room in Europe, will give away $50,000 in cash prizes and tournament entries in its Titan Turbo promotion, which will be staged during the month of October. New poker players, veterans and tournament regulars, all have an equal chance to win their share of the prizes.

Titan Turbo kicks off on October 5 with the first of its weekly one-day Tournament Player races. These races, which rank poker players by their tournament participation, each award $1,000 in cash prizes. The top 100 unique players from the five races win seats at Titan Poker’s ECPokertour Malta Freeroll, which will be staged on October 31. The top three players at that tournament will each win a $5,000 prize package, which includes buy-in to the exclusive ECPokertour Malta event, to be held at the luxurious Casino di Venezia in Malta from November 13-15, 2009.

Players who prefer cash game Texas Hold’em poker action can compete in the Titan Turbo races, starting October 5. These four-day races, ranking players by their Titan Points earned at the poker tables, award $5,000 in cash prizes. The top 100 unique players from each of the races advance to a final, one-day Titan Turbo race on October 31, which will award $10,000 in prizes to the top ranking players.

To level the playing field for new poker players, and for those who have not yet achieved VIP status, Titan Poker will double a first place prize amount won by any Bronze VIP player at its Titan Turbo Cash Game Races, including at the October 31 final event.
